Dr. Dobbs on the Framework Design Guidelines

Dr. Dobbs Bookshelf reviews the Framework Design Guidelines in the current issues.    I appreciate the fact that Peter notes that the book is good for people learning the.NET Framework as well as those designing their own libraries.  While we did specifically target the book for folks building libraries, it has been my experience that LOTs of developers can find value in the book... Knowing the rules to the system help you understand the system. 

 

Oh, and Peter even if they are utopian views, I hope the book is in some small way life changing and I sure hope it settles some newsgroup disputes ;-)

I also found that the book is very good for all .NET programmers, not just library developers.  I would recommend it to all, and along with Jeffrey Richter's .NET books, consider it a must-read.

Yep....it's one of those core books that should live on every .NET dev's desk.
