This might appear to be a bit off topic, but it is really not. I have found this Windows 2008 role is very useful in my everyday life, doing development and demonstrations on SharePoint, so here we go: A hidden jewel of Windows 2008 server is the TS gateway.

The form cannot be displayed because session state is not available.

If you get this error you have probably forgot to set up your session state in the forms configuration: or you have not set up your share service provider correctly. Happened to me today! :)

VS Extensions for SharePoint in 64 bit?

Sorry to say but it is not supported. You will have to use a 32 bit environment for development and use the output files on a 64 bit deployment. The reason is that even though VS can be installed in a 64 bit environment, it is still a 32 bit application
